Graduate Student
I completed my BA in Biology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. I then completed my MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a concentration in Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation (PPI) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently I am a PhD student at PUC-Rio studying clinical psychology with a concentration in neuroscience.
My project focuses on interviewing various stakeholders influencing the research and regulation of psychoactive substances in Mexico. We hope to compare the results from this research with a similar project we recently conducted in Brazil. My main interest is to help develop an appropriate regulatory framework that considers the voices of underrepresented communities to create a more equitable implementation of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
