I am a neuroscientist, with BSc and MSc in Clinical and Experimental Neuroscience obtained at the University of Cologne (Germany). I worked five years as a research assistant at Max Planck Institute for Neurological Research (Germany) and at the Clinic of Neurology and Psychiatry from the University of Cologne, investigating functional connectivity in systems of the brain in patients with stroke-related deficits and the correlations between connectivity changes and recovery after stroke. Currently, I am a PHD student in Psychiatry and Mental Health at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). My research consists in exploring self-awareness in people with Alzheimer Disease to investigate the impact of perspective taking on awareness of deficits.
